San Antonio Suburbs: The Dominion

The Dominion is the premier, master-planned, gated community in San Antonio. This upscale community is home to several local celebrities, including the professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin, country music star George Strait, and NBA player David Robinson. Consisting of 600 private homes nestled in the Texas Hill Country, The Dominion San Antonio neighbors the equally upscale communities of Fair Oaks Ranch, Anaqua Springs, and Scenic Oaks.

The Dominion’s boundaries are Aue Road to the north, Camp Bullis Road to the south, Camp Bullis to the east, and Interstate 10 to the west.

The Dominion San Antonio was established in the 1980s, with construction on the first home beginning in 1983. This was also the time that many people began to move to the outer areas of San Antonio, thereby fueling the growth of this community. The demand for The Dominion still remains strong today.

The Dominion’s Homeowner’s Association is a membership-based club with over 1,000 members who meet every month to organize community events, such as the annual Parade of Homes. Membership fees also pay for the community’s 24-hour, gated entrance and the two, 24-hour security offers that patrol the neighborhood that is covered by the Dominion HOA.

The Dominion Country Club, which has both golf and social memberships, hosts the annual PGA Senior gold events, as well as some charity events.

The enclaves at The Dominion include The Reserve at the Dominion, The Crescent at the Dominion, Dominion Cottage Estates, The Enclave at the Dominion, The Estates of the Dominion, The Gardens of the Dominion, The Cloisters of the Dominion, The Renaissance at the Dominion, The Legends at the Dominion and The Chateaux at the Dominion.

The Dominion real estate varies from small, garden homes to massive, mansion estates. The Dominion homes for sale can range from $300,000 for a luxury garden home to $500,000 to over $3 million for an estate home.
