San Antonio Suburbs: Hill Country Village

Hill Country Village is a small slice of Texas Hill Country just minutes from the busy city of San Antonio. Hill Country Village is an incorporated city in the North Central area of San Antonio, and it is easily accessible from Highway 281. Hill Country Village is located approximately two miles north of San Antonio International Airport. It is bordered on the north by Hollywood Park.

Tree-lined streets and huge homes on sprawling estates are commonplace in Hill Country Village. Often referred to as “bedroom community,” Hill Country Village San Antonio has managed to maintain the delicate balance between commercial development and its rustic, residential area.

Hill Country Village San Antonio is a fine example of a professional/residential suburb, as many business professionals who work in San Antonio reside in Hill Country Village for respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Artisan’s Alley is a popular destination which is located just outside Hill Country Village. This shopping center features quaint shops, restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and entertainment.

Hill Country Village became the first subdivision north of San Antonio in the late 1940s. As is the case today, people were drawn to Hill Country Village for peace, quiet and a lot of lands. At that time, each tract of land sold was a minimum of nine acres. Hill Country Village became incorporated in 1956. Hill Country Village real estate boasts an average price of nearly $400,000. Several Hill Country Village homes for sale boast tennis courts, swimming pools, and horse stables.
